At Wollongong Oztag, we’re passionate about delivering a dynamic and inclusive sporting experience for players of all ages and skill levels. As the proud home of the Redbacks, we offer both junior and senior competitions across the Illawarra region, including locations in Wollongong, Woonona, Dapto, and Cringila.
Our junior competitions run during the summer months, providing young athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment. For adults, our senior leagues offer competitive play and a chance to stay active and connected within the community.
We take pride in our representative teams, the Redbacks, who compete at state-level tournaments and Steelers who compete at national-level tournaments, showcasing the talent and dedication of our local players.

Junior Oztag
Fun, fast, and inclusive — our junior Oztag seasons run during Term 4 and Term 1 across multiple local venues. Open to boys and girls aged 5 to 17, our comps help young players develop confidence, teamwork, and fitness in a safe, non-contact environment.
Senior Oztag
Whether you’re playing socially or chasing titles, Wollongong Oztag has a spot for you. Our senior comps cater for mixed, men’s, and women’s teams, with divisions to suit all skill levels. Great for fitness, fun, and a midweek run around with mates.
Representative Oztag
For players ready to take their game to the next level, our Wollongong Redbacks representative program provides a clear pathway to elite Oztag. Selected players compete at NSW Junior and Senior State Cups, facing off against the best from across the state.
Our Sister Club – Shellharbour Spirit
Wollongong Oztag is proud to work closely with our sister club, Shellharbour Spirit. Sharing the same values of community, sportsmanship, and development, Spirit offers high-quality junior and senior competitions just south of Wollongong. Together, we’re building a stronger Oztag community across the Illawarra — one team, two clubs, same passion.
